2012 Wimbledon Womens Seeds - Serena Williams Seeded Eight

The Women's Seeds for the 2012 Wimbledon Championships have been announced and as expected Caroline Wozniacki is the top player, the seeds are absolutely vital for the chances of the top players heading to SW19 with hopes of picking up the trophy.

As expected Caroline Wozniacki, the World No 1 will be the top seed in 2011 as she currently sits at the top of the Women's World Rankings and of the Wimbledon Womens Odds. Wozniacki has been the most consistent palyer on tour over the last year but she is yet to make the breakthrough and win a Grand Slam. Other ladies likely to be near the top of the seeds are Kim Clijsters and Jelena Jankovic who are both having good years on the circuit, Clijsters will be particularly dangerous having won a number of Grand Slams recently and she will be looking for her first Wimbledon title in 2011.
